The

Chesapeake & Ohio Railway Carferries

The Chesapeake & Ohio Railway took over management of the Pere Marquette Railway in 1928, eventually merging it into its burgeoning railroad in 1947. Explore the many modern carferries the railroad built over the years, see never before shown construction footage of the beloved City of Midland 41 in 1941, and try to identify the many C&O carferries through their steam whistle signals in an interactive experience.
