June 9, 2018 –
On June 10th last summer after several years of work and planning the Port of Ludington Maritime Museum celebrated its much anticipated grand opening welcoming a crowd of over 700 people. Join us again this summer Saturday, June 9th as we recognize our one year anniversary and introduce the newest additions to the maritime museum. The ceremony will include the dedication of the new Maritime Heritage Trail, a series of signs which will guide visitors along Ludington’s historic waterfront. Featuring several locations of significance to Ludington’s maritime heritage. New this year will be one of the large propellers off of the City of Midland 41, one of Ludington’s most famous carferries, which will be installed as a sculpture outside of the museum and dedicated at the ceremony.
